How to Use So. ECO RESIN
STEP 1 — MIX
Mixing Ratio: 100:45 by Weight
For every 100 g of powder, use 45 g of clean water.
Example: 100 g powder + 45 g water
Measure the required amount of clean water into your mixing container.
Slowly add the powder into the water.
Mix thoroughly using a suitable mixing paddle.
Continue mixing until you achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency.
Work within the approximately 10-minute pot life.
Adding Colour
Pigment oxide colour tints or oxide powders can be added directly to the mix.
Water-based paints, liquid colourants and suitable pigments may also be used.
Important: Always test a small batch first. Adding excessive colourant can affect the finished casting and may cause cracking or crumbling.
STEP 2 — POUR
Pour the mixed Eco Resin into your prepared silicone mould.
Fill the mould approximately halfway first.
Gently rotate the mould in different directions to help minimise air bubbles.
Fill the remaining mixture into the mould.
Avoid unnecessary movement while the casting is setting.
Setting Time
The approximate setting time is 30–60 minutes.
For best results, demould after approximately 60 minutes or once the water has sufficiently evaporated, depending on the size and thickness of your casting.
SEAL
Allow approximately 24–48 hours before sealing and make sure the water has completely evaporated.
Apply 2–3 coats of suitable sealer, allowing each coat to dry according to the sealer manufacturer's instructions.
Proper sealing helps protect and finish your completed piece.
